Call for projects

The call for projects

One of the first operations was a call for innovative projects involving economics and R&D and was launched on December 22nd 2003.

 Objectives

This call for projects revolved around three main objectives:
  * To put an identified innovative product or service on the market;
  * To strengthen the competitiveness of the business' product range by developing an innovative process for its production;
  * To integrate technologies contributing to the improvement of a product, a service, the manufacturing process and / or the business' information management system.

 The themes

The five themes for this call for projects were:
  * eco-materials
  * sites and soils, sludges and sediments 
  * clean, safe and economical technologies 
  * transversal tools
  * energy.

Selection criteria

The basic criteria upon which project selection was based included:
  * projects of an innovative and applied nature, in the short or medium term
  * projects with technical-economic, financial and legal feasibility
  * the quality and appropriateness of potential partnerships
  * projects which would be beneficial on a regional level and particularly those which would be advantageous for companies and public or private laboratories
  * projects of inter-regional or international scope.
  * Particular attention was paid to projects which would contribute to the construction of a subsidiary structure.

Participants

Projects could be submitted by:
  * Businesses or groups of businesses operating in industrial sectors or services in the Nord-Pas-de-Calais region
  * Public or private laboratories, development or research organisations in the Nord-Pas-de-Calais region, in partnership with one or several businesses
  * Several partners: businesses, laboratories, development centres. 

Results


=> 63 projects were submitted, representing a total cost of 18,676,793 euros, with total funding requested amounting to (approximately) 10,288,643 euros.

 

 

=> 35 projects were selected

 

=>11 projects received financial support
