CRSRE (Regional Scientific Committee for Environmental Research)

Environmental Research coordination

The CRSRE (Regional Scientific Committee for Environmental Research) is coordinated by Mr Francis MEILLIEZ. Its main missions are to:

• Coordinate discussions to favour consistency and to encourage the notion of team reflection, in keeping with the policies of Research establishments

• Contribute to establishing the proposals for actions of international scope issued by the CSR (Regional Scientific Community) in matters of Environmental Research, in response to issues identified on a regional level

• Be one of the main spokespersons with regards the relevant Ministries and national and international organisations, as well as industrials and other regional contacts, and to be a referent for decision makers

• Promote regional scientific skills in matters of Environmental Research, on a regional, national and international level

Examples of achievements:

• Contribution to the implementation of Environmental Research programmes in the framework of the State / Region planning Contract 2000-2006

• "Environmental Research day" on the theme of "Polluted Sites and Soils: issues of society / Contribution of Research" on Thursday 7th April 2005 in the framework of the Environord trade fair in LILLE (59).
