New Interreg IIIA Programme to help Eco Enterprises reach their full potential.

The ground breaking two-year Sustainable Eco Enterprises Programme, designed to support the development and growth of Eco-Enterprises in Kent, East Sussex and Nord Pas de Calais, came to a close in April 2006.

Reflecting the success of this programme as well as the significant opportunities for growth in this sector yet to be realised, the project partners have received the go ahead for a second phase, ensuring a cross-border support program for eco enterprises in the transmanche region until the end of 2007.

The second phase of the programme aims to realise this growth potential through:

• Supply chain development: direct focussed support for the renewable energies, eco-construction and waste recycling sectors

• Promotion and skills: raising the profile of the sector, providing it will the necessary skills and information

• Network development: realising cross-sector and cross-border collaborative opportunities
